Solo
A complete back office for one.
Solo is the entry package, and it is a full operating system for a one-person home-services business. Everything from the first quote to the paid receipt lives in one branded document, so you are not stitching a spreadsheet to four other tools. This is the foundation every higher tier builds on.
Quote to paid, in one place.
Every feature here earned its spot by solving a real problem on a real job. This is the money path and the customer record, end to end, for an operator running it all themselves.
CRM: customers, properties, history
A real customer record underneath the whole business: people, the properties tied to them, and the full history of every job you have quoted or completed. When a repeat customer calls, you pull up the address and see what you did last time, what you charged, and what is still open, instead of scrolling a text thread or a spreadsheet tab.
For a solo operator this is the difference between a business and a pile of notes. The CRM is the spine everything else hangs off: quotes attach to a property, receipts attach to a customer, and nothing has to be re-typed because it already lives in one place.
Quote to invoice to receipt, one document
A quote, an invoice, and a receipt are the same job at three moments in time. GROUNDWRK treats them as one branded document that moves forward through those three states, so nothing is re-typed between them and nothing falls through the cracks. You send a clean quote, the customer signs and pays, and the same document becomes the invoice and then the receipt.
This is the core of the product and the thing operators tell us they wish they had years ago. No separate quoting app handing off to a separate invoicing app. One flow, one record, start to finish.
Branded PDF and e-signature
Every quote and receipt carries your logo, your colors, and your business details. The homeowner sees a tidy, professional document with your company on it, not a generic system template. That presentation is part of how you win the job, especially against a competitor who texts a number.
The customer signs the quote online, and the terms they agreed to are recorded at the moment of signing. You get a versioned record of exactly what was agreed, which matters the day a job goes sideways and someone remembers it differently.
Online card payments
The homeowner pays by card right on the public quote view. No login, no app to download, no separate payment link to chase. They open the quote, sign, and pay in the same place. Getting paid faster is the whole point, and a card button on the page you already sent is the shortest path to it.
Funds settle to your own connected account, not ours. Card processing carries a pass-through cost from the payment provider, which is yours at cost, never a markup from us.
Branded email receipts
Confirmations and receipts go out from your business address, not a generic system email that lands in spam or confuses the customer. The homeowner gets a clean receipt that looks like it came from the company they just hired, because it did.
Small detail, real difference: when the email, the document, and the payment page all carry one consistent brand, you look like an established operation even on day one.
Automated review requests
Once a job is marked complete, GROUNDWRK can automatically ask the customer for a review. Reviews are how a home-services business gets found and trusted, and the best time to ask is right after the work is done and the customer is happy. Doing it by hand means you forget, so it does not happen. Automating it means it happens every time.
For a solo operator with no marketing budget, a steady drip of fresh reviews is one of the highest-leverage things you can run, and here it runs itself.
Business settings
Your name, logo, colors, FROM email address, and quote numbering, all under your control. The product themes itself from your business, so every customer-facing surface renders in your brand. GROUNDWRK stays behind the curtain.
Quote numbering starts where you want it and runs as your own sequence, so your paperwork looks consistent and professional from the first document you send.
Solo is the foundation.
The tiers are cumulative. When you hire your first employee or want territories, payroll, and a prospecting engine, the Crew package adds them on top of everything here, with nothing to migrate.
